I feel that Soetwater Caravan Park, far south on Cape Town's Peninsula, is just such a fantastic setting. If they could do something about the security, this would definitely be a great spot to caravan when visiting Cape Town. It's a huge caravan park, but the place for caravans and motorhomes is at the far end, right below Slangkop Lighthouse. You get to set up camp just behind the sand and rocks next to the mighty Atlantic Ocean.
