Cape Town is one of the best travel destination in South Africa . It is also known for being most expensive city for travellers. It has exclusive shopping malls such as Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and Canal Walk, their are lots of luxury 5-star hotels such as the One & Only, its reputation as an expensive travel destination is somewhat misleading - it is possible for those with more limited budgets to make the most of what the city and the su ...
Hi. I recently acquired an autovilla camper. Old one think its an '82 and a Peugeot Boxer. What I'm looking for is where to buy all the goodies to kit them out with. The Boxer is empty so good place to start and I plan on turning that into a mobile workshop. The autovilla is old and dilapidated but running and functional. I'm looking to add water and ablution as well as shower etc but cannot find any of the parts needed to do this. I have been lo ...
I'm caravaning along the coast between Durban and Cape Town from June 18th to July 27th. I know there are school holidays during this period. I would rather not reserve a campsite for every night of this trip, but I will if necessary. Let me know what you think.
I am in the market for a caravan awning and has been looking at Eazi Awn and Fiamma and other similar extractable type of awnings but cannot seem to find what I what. The majority of the awnings mentioned are, apart from it being permanently fixed to the van, not waterproof where it is fixed to the caravan. The awning I'm looking for should be of the type that slides into the existing tent extrusion with a zip bag containing the awning and stabil ...

The Interior of the new Jurgens Range looks like the ones from 1985. Dark and gloomy. What on Earth where they thinking of. Imagine the small area of a Caravan in this dark colors. This could be the bigest mistake Jurgens made. Sad to see a good product to be spoilt like that.
I am planning to buy our first caravan and have a budget of around R40 000. Is there anything I should look for, and any questions I should be asking the sellers? I have been looking on the gumtree and there seem to be alot available in this proce range.

We recently bought a 2002 Gypsey Regal and are loving every moment of it, 1 thing I noticed is that the newer model caravans have no rear window... when towing I open the front & rear curtains so I can use the rear view mirror to see right through the caravan to see who is behind me. This helps with road safety, why does Jurgens CI not have more caravan models (like all Gypsey & smaller Jurgens caravans) to have rear windows?
I've been ripped-off before, but this one takes the cake! Candles and all. Beginning December I had my kitchen door repaired at Loftus Caravans in Randburg. I had trouble closing it properly. They charged me R1 200 for an hour-and-a-half's labour.Problem is, after only the second time I wanted to close the hatch it was exactly the same as before! On our return from the Coast I phoned them to complain and was told they would fix it again but ...
