We needed a tough off-road trailer, and we needed it at seriously short notice. The intended trip was from north to south – well, more like north-west to south-east – through the Cederberg Wilderness area, which meant a lot of gravel road towing.

I recently had the unpleasant experience, during a camping weekend with friends, of having to get up a couple of times in the middle of the night. ‘Why?’ you might ask. Well, I had to pick up and reset the horizontal tent poles on my Sprite Tourer which had been blown loose by a few gusts of wind.

Recently absorbed into the Gooderson Leisure group of resorts, Natal Spa has been upgraded and spruced up, making it a worthwhile holiday spot for caravaners travelling in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

We found a three-berther that’s a solid 12-year-old and, well, in need of just a bit of TLC. By the time you read this, Tygerberg Caravans will no doubt have her in shipshape condition, and this 2000 Gypsey Raven will be ready for its new home.
