The recently launched Sprite Tourer gravel-roader combines the comforts and luxury of conventional caravaning with the adventure of back-road travelling.
But, Gaynor and Max Stone, among the first customers to order a Tourer SP from Loftus Caravan City, wanted more than what the standard Tourer SP offered. Loftus and the Stones went straight to the drawing board. This was after hitching the standard model to a tough off-road vehicle and heading through Namibia. The many camping nights spent in remote areas, coupled with rigorous testing, enabled Loftus Caravan City to come up with the Tourer SP Deluxe, an upgraded unit with interior and exterior modifications. We went to take a look at an exciting caravan model that you can only find at this caravan dealer.

EXTERIOR MODIFICATIONS
The first significant change I noticed was to the left side: the standard version of the Tourer SP has a 60-litre fridge-freezer fitted onto a slider unit above the wheel arch. There’s a fold-out mechanism for lowering the fridge outwards and over the wheel, supposedly making access to your food items easier. However, this mechanism takes up most of the kitchen galley space. Customers reported that they didn’t use the fridge that often, and weren’t happy with the lack of space in the kitchen area, where they spent a lot more time. The fridge mechanism also wasn’t easy to use, especially for shorter, less sturdily built people...
