Good things comes to those whom have patience – belief in love , enjoy life and ride on the waves of the great outdoors !! Yes for us it did not happen the first time around, but since my loving husband , Willie Stanz ,popped the big question on our beloved spot in front of a giant ant hill, five years ago on Matopi Game Lodge – life has become an anniversary journey of love, life and laughter.
Slowly but surely Willie introduced me to the outdoor life – We spend our honeymoon at the cosy and friendly Otters Den on the banks of the Blyde river canon ,waking up to the sound of hippo’s and birds singing – Enjoying the breathtaking views of Gods Window – and the amasing Burks luck potholes ,the history and rich heritage of Pelgrimsrust - … can you picture the fairytale honeymoon? Soon camping was on the agenda – and now our three girls and I also understand the thrill of boys toys fishing rods and that amazing feeling when the fish bites!!! Not only am I the proud owner of pink fishing rods , bass rods and even a fly –fishing rod but become excited when I can I identify a new tree or bird species which I have not seen before. We Love the Drakensberg and enjoy camping and hiking as a family , One of the highlights which I will always treasure, in spite of the vertigo I experienced for the first time in my life , is when Willie and I climbed to the top of Mount Aux Source to theTugela falls, simply breathtaking.

Our camping site is very modest but cosy , we have an old model rooftop trailer – and separate tents for Carel and the three girls – they enjoy camping outdoors and making new friends at the camping sites even more than we do . We have been spending a lot Of time lately on the internet searching for a suitable second hand caravan and that’s when I saw the Caravan magazine and must say bought it, with the dream of winning the Jurgens Expo competition.
